I have a class of 23 gifted and talented kindergarteners who are primarily second language learners. 85-90% come from low socio-economic backgrounds. They are amazing at rising to any challenge I give them and follow the 3 B's-Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible. Their families are dedicated to our community and believe it takes a team to achieve SUCCESS for their kids! One of my schools' main goals is to teach the students academic English and prepare them for SUCCESS in college. Starting in kindergarten we expect speaking in English using complete sentences with all curricular areas.
