My students are mostly middle-class, with a small percentage of low-income, at-risk students. We have learned over the years that less and less teenagers are reading for pleasure. My goal is to give my students a positive experience with books so they will be inspired to want to continue reading for pleasure. The books I have chosen are excellent stories that will draw them in and make them want to live within their pages! Many of my "nonreaders" are beginning to see reading is enjoyable!

About my class
