My classroom is a self-contained K–6 special education classroom serving students with multiple disabilities. Many of my students are medically fragile and require intensive support throughout the day. Each child in my room is unique, with their own strengths, communication styles, and learning needs. My students benefit most from hands-on, sensory-rich, and functional learning experiences. They work on foundational academic skills, communication, physical movement, self-care, and life skills tailored to their individual abilities. With the help of a dedicated team, each student receives 1:1 support to ensure they have access to a safe, joyful, and meaningful education.
