Our classroom is small but full of heart. We are a tight-knit group of students and a teacher rebuilding not just our routines, but our sense of normalcy after Typhoon Ike struck our peninsula. The storm deeply affected our community, and many families are still recovering. As a result, our class is smaller than usual—but the strength, resilience, and hope my students bring to school every day is truly inspiring.
Despite the challenges they’ve faced, my students come to class eager to learn, connect, and grow. They support one another like family, and their determination to keep moving forward is something I admire every single day. In our classroom, every resource matters and every opportunity counts. We’re working hard to rebuild our learning environment and make it a safe, engaging, and supportive space where students can thrive—no matter what they’ve been through.
