My second grade students enjoy coming to school. Many of my students live in a high poverty community and are learning English as a second language. They come to school without the proper supplies and often struggle with reading. Books and other materials are not available to the students and their parents. My students are all enthusiastic about learning and need the necessary materials to succeed in reading. These students especially like reading.
