My wonderful students are very inquisitive and artistic. I would like to extend my science lessons to include artistic expression of different cycles (life cycles, water cycle, rock cycle, food chains, etc). So many have expressed interest in representing their learning in a diagram or drawing.
I went to a fantastic professional development last summer that modeled using Shrinky-Dinks to demonstrate different cycles on key chains. The teachers in the workshop went crazy for the chance to make these tiny learning charms. I imagine students will also feel that level of excitement when given the opportunity to create cycles on a charm-chain. The possibilities are endless!
