I teach 8th grade math at Green Valley Middle School in Fairfield, where no two days are ever the same. My students make me laugh, challenge me to think in new ways, and remind me why I love teaching this age group. They are a mix of personalities—some bold and outspoken, others quiet and thoughtful—but each one is capable of incredible growth. I love seeing the lightbulb moments when a tough problem suddenly clicks or when a student proudly explains their thinking to a classmate. My students are funny, caring, and resilient, and they deserve every chance to step into high school knowing they are ready for the challenges ahead.
