I teach reading and math to middle school bilingual diverse learners in a Title I inner-city neighborhood school in Chicago. My students are inquisitive and eager to learn. Most of them are first born generation in this country. Their parents are immigrants who have two or three jobs to make ends meet. All my students receive free lunch. Our community has limited resources, our public library is 20 min away.
