Every day, my classroom sees over 100 students. The room's large windows let in an incredible amount of sun and heat, but very little air. Understandably, students' ability to focus on important tasks like reading and writing begins to strain when the classroom temperature is over 90 degrees. This project would provide an air conditioner and build our library of readings and study guides.
My students deserve to have the best possible learning conditions, including a temperate room and a library of texts to support them as they study writing and exam preparation. I want students to be comfortable on these increasingly hot days.
