As Hearing Education Service Provider and Speech therapist, I travel to different schools to work individually or in a small group with a rang of students with hearing loss or language delay from ages 18 months -3, and grades K-12. Some students wear hearing aids, cochlear implants, or FM devices to amplify the speaker's or teacher's voice in the classroom. Additionally, I have students in which their hearing loss occurs with other diagnoses such as ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and ADHD. My students vary in their level of functioning and communicating; some are verbal, some non-verbal, and some use total communication- amplification with American Sign Language support.
