I work at two Title 1 schools as a speech therapist. I support students at all levels of their communication journey -- from non-speaking, autistic students to 5th graders who are learning how to problem solve and self-advocate. My students need many supports to use functional communication throughout their school day and learn how to express their wants, needs, and ideas.
