As you can see, the challenges that my students face each day are great even before entering the classroom. Many of my students are reading significantly below grade level and feel discouraged (and sometimes even defeated) when it comes to reading. My goal is to help them develop greater ability to decode words and comprehend, and furthermore, help instill in them a great passion for reading.
