Many of my students lack motivation and feel disconnected from school, often facing personal challenges that can hinder their academic success. They experience stress and pressure, sometimes handling these issues on their own. My goal is to create a supportive environment where they feel safe and valued, helping them recognize that it’s okay not to be okay.
I focus on assisting students in setting and achieving their personal goals while addressing their social-emotional needs. By teaching coping skills and encouraging open discussions about feelings, I aim to empower them to ask for help when needed. Additionally, I work to foster their belief in their ability to graduate and make informed decisions about their post-secondary paths. Together, we build on their resilience and autonomy, ensuring they feel supported in overcoming the obstacles they face.
