Students with visual impairments require auditory and textile materials in order to make progress towards their individualized goals and to experience the world. In addition, our school is over 86% socioeconomically disadvantaged which makes getting their own materials even more challenging.
The materials in this project will help this unique population of students experience the world around them while helping them make progress towards independence.
This population of students has been greatly impacted by school building closures as there are more limitations to teaching remotely when the students learn so much through their environment.
