I teach a Media Arts course and an Intro to Computer Science and Digital Literacy course in this classroom.
Media Arts is a hands-on project-based multidisciplinary course that covers the following fields: photography, videography, graphic design, website design, video game design and development, animation and 3D modeling. Media Arts is one of the five art programs offered at the Burncoat Middle School for the Arts.
Our Media Arts students work on projects such as taking photographs of themselves, the building and its surroundings; recording and editing videos; designing posters; designing a website; creating video games; drawing and creating digital animations and 3D characters.
Most of my students are outgoing, curious and like to do things their way. I strive to provide them with engaging learning opportunities and they never cease to surprise me with their creativity!
