My students are a diverse group of Michigan students, living in low-income households, coming from working class families. Many are also transient. Specifically, my Drama students are the cream of that crop. They have overcome so many odds from their past and have big dreams and high expectations for themselves. Many of my students have transferred from their urban school due to safety issues or were forced to move because of financial issues. My student LOVE acting and treasure the closeness of our group. I have used my own personal camera in the past for photo shoots. It would be wonderful to have a camera on hand to capture all of their on stage and backstage moments, as well as cast photo shoots, to document their accomplishments and positive experiences.
