Our school is a Title 1 school in an urban area. More than 40% of our students receive free and reduced lunch. We have an ethnically diverse population from all over the world. My Kindergarten classroom size is 24 students, and we are a full-day Kindergarten. We are a STEM learning school, so preparing students for the global world, with an emphasis on the use of technology is important to me.
I know all my students will benefit from the use of mini iPads in our classroom. I have done extensive research in this area. Technology increases student engagement, and prepares students for 21st century learning! Using mini iPads will allow me to diversify student learning to assist my students with special needs, my language learners, students that have never attended preschool, and those students who are working at an advanced level. Using technology to support learning is fun for students, and allows students to work on skills targeted to their needs.
