My students at Trinidad Elementary School are mostly from low-income families. This is a very small 1A school. The building itself is 100 years old as of this year. I teach 3 grade levels, 3rd-5th grade. I have from 8-20 students per grade level. I started from scratch this year as a first year teacher and I am trying to build a classroom the students can learn in! Teaching Science and Social Studies is definitely fun in itself, but if I had the tools and kits to be able to show them hands on, it would be very rewarding.
