I teach a wonderful group of students in a specialized autism (AU) classroom. Each child brings unique strengths, big personalities, and a genuine love for hands-on learning. My students thrive when lessons are structured, visual, and engaging, and they make their biggest gains when they can touch and explore. Many of my students are emerging communicators who use gestures, picture cards, or AAC devices to express themselves. They are working on foundational skills like communication, emotional understanding, social interaction, early academics, and daily routines. Although each child is different, they all share a strong desire to learn, connect, and be understood.
Resources promote sensory regulation, communication, movement, and hands-on exploration make a tremendous impact in our classroom. My goal is to create a learning environment where each child feels safe, supported.
