I want to give each of my students paper, crayons and scissors we can write short sentences about what we are learning and create pictures to show our understanding while developing our fine motor skill. With books at their level the kids reading skill will continue to increase.
Because of the unexpected school closure I am trying to distance teach students who do not necessarily have these basic tools. I skip activities that they need so a child without tools is not excluded.
When each student has these basic items, I can teach lessons which will further the skills we have developed thus far through the year.
