I am a special education teacher in a high poverty school in California. I work with the most amazing Kindergarten through 3rd grade students that want to learn, but their special needs make retaining what they have learned very difficult. My classroom is comprised of English Language and low verbal learners. For most of my students, struggling to learn is part of their everyday life. Although their disabilities range from Autism to Learning Disable, they are all hard workers and never cease to amaze me with all they are able to accomplish.
