Our school has a large population of ELL (English Language Learner) students. However, sometime our higher achieving students do not have the literature to match their reading levels. There are many students that have higher reading levels that our library has a diffucult time supporting. I want my library to be able to be able to support and encourage readers of all levels. I have found that my higher level readers love book series and novels that they are able to relate to. Award winning novels and young adult literature would open their minds and create a lasting foundation for future academic success. I think that having more titles like this will keep them interested in reading and want to visit the library more.
