Every Monday my 17 first grade students and I go outside for two hours to explore science, math, and literacy connections. We need these supplies to enhance our outdoor learning time.
We gather in our school's woods and introduce concepts, then explore and come back to revisit and reflect. The sit upons will be used for those discussion periods. We need tarps and twine keep us dry and in our spaces. The tarps can also be used as a temporary shelter to allow us discussion and gathering times in but protected from the weather. I have chosen some books, puzzles, and toys that we can use outside as a an activity area.
