This is my 14th year as a classroom teacher, 6 of those spent in first grade and 8 in Kindergarten! I have always felt strongly that my students are placed in my classroom for a reason. It is not by coincidence, but rather because I am meant to be a teacher to those students. I take my duties as a teacher very seriously, and work hard at not only teaching the necessary academics, but helping to mold my students into honorable and upstanding citizens, developing their minds as well as their character. I take pride in my work as a teacher, role model, and example for young children at a pivotal age of development. My school is a Title One neighborhood school, surrounded by single family or apartment style homes, in the midst of a financially challenged school district with little to no additional funding for classroom materials and supplies.
