They include diverse characters with background like my students'. My students look for books with characters that look like them. They love reading about their culture. Reading gives them the exposure to English they need. We read together, they can read on their own. These books will make them want to read and work harder on their English learning in reading. We can read, write about, and discuss the books we read together in groups.
