We will begin creating science and social studies themed art projects each month to wrap up our lessons. My students LOVE to show off their creativity. We have a special spot in our hallway to display their masterpieces. My kids really enjoy seeing other students and teachers stop to admire their work.
Our projects will incorporate art into our academic subjects, while also allowing our students the opportunity to practice the fine motor skills and communication skills that they are learning in occupational and language therapy. We need an Art Center stocked with different types and colors of paper, crayons, markers, scissors, and glue.
