My class is in need of materials, especially technology to help enhance their learning experience. My students come from a very rural area, where high speed internet is not available to all areas, (or affordable if it is available) cell phone service is virtually non-existent, and most students are living with grandparents, parents, or foster families on a fixed income. We are the poorest county in one of the poorest states. And yet... My students are strong. They are proud and resilient, and some of them have experienced more than most of us will in our lifetime, yet they are still sweet and polite. They come to school wanting to learn, wanting to know everything they can! To see the joy on their face walking in is one of the most wonderful experiences ever. These students have the best, most caring hearts. They are very close, work with each other, and care about each other deeply. They deserve the world.
