My students will greatly benefit from having flexible seating to use. Many of my students struggle to sit and stay focused on their independent activities. Having flexible seating options will allow them to move around while working, allowing them to be more comfortable while still staying in one area so they can complete their activity. My students have a wide variety of abilities and needs. Many of them have goals to stay in one area while completing a task. This is a skill that they will need when pursuing employment after leaving my classroom. Having their sensory needs met through the use of flexible seating, will help them work toward this goal.
