At our school, we believe it is our responsibility to ensure a learner-centered environment for all students, through critical thinking, problem solving, and communication. What better way to accomplish these goals than through computer programming.
I have the immense privilege of teaching basic computer programming skills to grades K-8. Many of our students come from impoverished settings, as over 75% of our families receive free and reduced lunch. Much of this population does not have the luxury of internet or computer access within their home, so it is our responsibility to equip them with digital age skills, by providing quality instruction through educational technology.
