With this mobile listening center and the headphones, I will create a listening center to use in my classroom. My students will have an opportunity to use this listening center daily as one of their reading centers. Every student will have their own headset to listen to a book being read aloud. This will allow my students an opportunity to listen to a book being read fluently. Fluency is a skill many of my students are struggling to master. Through the incorporation of this listening center, all of my students will become stronger, fluent, and confident readers. Not only will this listening center help my students become more fluent readers, it will also help my struggling readers gain the confidence they need to be successful readers. My ultimate goal is to help my students get the foundation they need to be strong readers, this listening center will help me make this goal possible.
