I am requesting iPads, iPad cases, and a charging port to make my students' learning relevant to the digital world they inhabit. The tablets will be used to aid in my pupils' journeys as they become independent technologically-savvy scholars. However, they will also serve to help students develop their interpersonal and social skills as they work with their peers on research projects and other learning activities.
There are endless possibilities for the use of iPads in the classroom. iPads will be used as a listening station where students will access research-based, approved educational sites and apps. Students will use iPads to do research for interest-based projects based on students’ interest in diverse topics. The iPads will also be used to complete and take digital-format checks for understanding – such as Kahoot! And Padlet. iPads will be used as digital readers with various formats of electronic readers provided by our district (such as MyOn).
The list goes on because technology can provide a wide array of educational opportunities. Please help me in preparing life-long, college-bound learners!!
