Currently my students sit at tables with traditional chairs. Some like to stand, some like to sit or lay on the floor, but most try to sit still, with their bottom in the chair and feet on the floor like they have been told their life, But in the end they just fidget and look and act uncomfortable.
This affects the amount of brain power they are able to give to their learning. They are thinking more about how uncomfortable they are and less about the activity they have in front of them.
I would love to give them some seating options other than standing, or sitting on the floor. I want them to feel like my classroom is theirs, and they have control over how comfortable they are so their main focus in on their learning.
