My students attend an inner city neighborhood school in the 3rd largest school district in the country. Our neighborhood has the 1st highest murder rate in the city so students are not allowed to go outside during the day. My student population is 100% African American. 100% of my students are designated low income and receive free lunch. Over 70% of my students are reading below expected 1st grade levels. Few of my students have access to computers outside of school.
