My students cannot communicate like their peers. This makes it difficult for them to be included in simple tasks throughout the day, such as, story time, morning meeting, art, music, and P.E. I want my students to have a way to be included every chance we can find. My students have Autism Spectrum Disorder along with other differences that make communication harder. We will record phrases and words that our students can use during morning meeting, story time, art, and music to be included in the conversations and interactions. Not only would these Big Mack Switch's help my nonverbal students be able to engage with their peers but it will give them confidence during social interactions. My students have never had a voice and my goal is to use these tools to find their voice.
