Each day, students are required to visit the independent reading station. This station gives students an opportunity to manage themselves and decompress, while working to their strengthen their literacy skills. The supplies listed in this project will help to create a welcoming/comfortable environment that will make students feel right at home while reading. The inflatable chairs and rug will provide alternative seating options for those who want to get away from their monotony of their desks. The pencil sharpener will be used in the reading area for those who need to sharpen a pencil to record notes in their reading logs.
