Chromebooks are very useful in the classroom. My students would be able to use them for any of our many online resources. Every day we use Iready Math and Reading, Accelerated Reader, Brainpop, You Tube, and many other online resources. Students are able to complete online instruction with ease if they use Chromebooks, and their portability is so convenient.
Our district provides as many resources as possible, but with continuing budget cuts every year, it just isn't possible to keep up with technology needs. Right now, I only have four working students computers. This makes it VERY difficult for my two classes of 25 students each to equally share the time at the computers.
With four Chromebooks, I would have a total of 8 computers to use at one time. This means students could stay on the computers for longer periods of time when completing projects or doing online instruction instead of having to work in short increments. Students would also be able to use the many programs we have while they are at school, since many do not have the access at home.
