I am a 2nd-grade Spanish teacher in a bilingual school. The majority of my students come from low-income families with parents with limited educational backgrounds that in most cases are not able to help the kids. Parents wish to help their kids become better and I want the same for them. I want to help them through learning and building their self-esteem using our class motto which they learn from day 1 and I repeat every day: Yo si puedo! (Yes I can). I try to give my students an atmosphere full of love, respect, discipline, and fun.
