I have 26 bilingual students in my class. For many of them, this is their first experience in a school setting, and the majority come from a Spanish speaking household. After Hurricane Harvey, we were displaced and we have to combine two classes and teach in the library of another school due to the lack of space. Fortunately, we came back to our school and we are ready to do whatever we have to do to help these little 4 and 5 years old students to overcome the traumatic situation they had to live in the school and their home. Everyday, I try to make different games, songs, and engaging activities to keep them motivated, happy and learning.
