Hello! I am the teacher of music at Jefferson-Houston K-8 school in Alexandria, VA. We are a wonderfully unique place where students and teachers strive to learn and grown each day. We are a Title 1 school that is rapidly approaching accreditation. As a testament to our hard work, we have recently achieved the distinction of becoming an IB Primary school. Middle school accreditation is soon to follow. As a teacher of music, I am dedicated to teaching the whole child and eliminating the achievement gap. Our standards based program involves language, math, social studies, science, movement, art, literature, critical thinking and of course music. I am honored to be able to help my students on their journey to become curious, creative and compassionate life long learners who are destined to touch the world.
