I have the pleasure of working with 20 students within a full day preschool program in the greater Chicago area. They are 4-5 year olds with an array of challenges to overcome within their education. The majority of the students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds whose families are working diligently to provide for their children's needs. Many of these same students also have disabilities that add to their needs within the classroom, and require the curriculum to be brought to them by unconventional means. Yet even with all the hurdles they face, they walk through my doors with smiles each day and are ready to learn!
