I teach, on average, about 120 students a day with many different levels of learning. About half of my students are English Language Learners. My students are very curious young adults and are eager to learn.
The neighborhood that I teach in is very impoverished and many of the students do not have access to materials outside of school. My students are very active and talkative so it is important for me to keep them busy and working at all times. If you were to walk into my classroom, you would see us doing whole group or table discussions, students working independently or in groups and I would be pulling a small group for differentiated instruction.
