I work at a year-round school in a low social economic area of South Los Angeles. Although many families are struggling, I want my students to have an escape each day. I want them to feel a sense of pride and accomplishment when they enter their classroom. Everyday they come to school eager to learn and participate. My third grade students are creative, enthusiastic learners. They are learning to work collaboratively, sharing and respecting each others ideas.
