I teach in a Pre-K classroom for children with special needs. My students are sweet and love to learn and play. Many of them are just now learning how to communicate through words, signs, or pictures. My students are determined, kind, funny, and FULL of energy. My goal is to provide them with a safe, welcoming, accessible classroom where learning is imbedded in play and other purposeful experiences. I want to make school fun - and to foster a love of learning that will carry them throughout school and life. I strive to make my lessons as interactive and engaging as possible while still meeting the rigor of the standards AND the individual and diverse needs of my students. Our school is located in a high poverty, migrant community. Wimauma Elementary is very welcoming and family oriented, My hope is that my families feel my classroom is that way as well. Thank you for your help!
