Our music classroom is filled with such talented and motivated students. Students run to the class, eager to play their instruments every day and work hard on their craft. My students are great helpers, leaders, and thinkers. We have about 200 students each year who play both band and orchestra instruments. We also started a jazz band this year. These students put to great use the materials we have, but we can always use more support. Many of the instruments we have are old and constantly in need of repair. It is difficult for students to learn when their instruments do not function properly. We are also always in need of supplies, such as strings, reeds, rosin, shoulder rests, valve oil, neckstraps, cleaning cloths, and new cases. Students need these necessary materials to keep their instruments in top shape and receive an excellent music education.
