Ewa Elementary pre-kindergarten program services many children who qualify for free and reduced lunch and many are considered from low-income households. We use play-based discovery approach for children to construct knowledge, based on hands-on experiences.
We teach our students respect, value, and empathy. Unfortunately, schools do not have much funding; in fact, many classroom teachers spend own money to offer students materials and experiences they deserve.
I integrate Fine Arts throughout the day. My job is to provide many experiences as possible while children are in my classroom. Seeing my students' smile melt my heart! They come to school to learn and experience something new every day. Children are our future for tomorrow!
