Many of my students come to school and crave creativity. At home, they may not have all of the resources to play, learn, and tinker. Through this project, I am planning on creating daily STEAM bins, which students will use each and every day. Students will be given the opportunity to try new ideas, form solutions, and work together with their peers each morning before we start our day. I plan on dedicating the first 15 minutes of every school day to STEAM bins, so that students can warm up their brains before they jump into the daily challenges that first grade brings. Not only will these items be used during morning STEAM bins, but they will also be used for various experiments, lessons, and challenges. These materials will give my students and I the means to think and learn creatively!
