I teach 7th grade mathematics in a school district outside of Philadelphia. The students I teach are very diverse in culture and ability. The majority of students are from a low SES status.
We have large class sizes averaging around 30 students per class! So always having enough materials can be a challenge.
My students are very curious and interested in the real world. They soak up current events! Our best classroom discussions come from relating our concepts to the world around them!
