I teach Upper Elementary Deaf and Hard of Hearing students at a Title I school in East LA. My students are part of a Total Communication program, which provides both American Sign Langauge (ASL) and Speech to students as appropriate. Most of my students only have access to ASL in the classroom and have limited access to communication outside of the classroom.
