My students are English Learners of Latino backgrounds. Most of them were born in the United States to immigrant parents from Mexico, Guatemala and Ecuador. The language spoken at home is Spanish. My students have a background rich in cultural pride. They love talking about the customs they keep and also love speaking in Spanish in my classroom. My school is a diverse school located in the city of Chicago.
