My class is composed of more than 90% low income students and more than half of them are English language learners. Differentiated instruction is necessary because many students struggle to learn in a traditional classroom environment because of their individual adversities. My students face many challenges outside of the classroom, and deserve every opportunity to expand their learning in a safe learning environment.
